Track 3:         Let Me Hunger

Y2K had come and gone without a hitch, and I was in Minot, North Dakota for a mid-winter concert. An hour before it began, I was sitting in a room behind the altar at Our Redeemer's LB Church (all by myself) on the southside of town. Wanting so badly for God to move that night (I had been reading "The God Chasers" by Tommy Tenney), and knowing that God responds generously to our needs, I began to play my guitar and sing this prayer as an expression of that desire. An hour later the audience sang it with me. And though no pulpits were split that night, I believe the greater miracle occurs in a changed life - and that, I can pray, is still happening today.

Let Me Hunger

by Jeremy Erickson

Lord, let me hunger for the heavens.

Let me live for the love You live in.

Let me be content with nothing less than

You having all of me.

Lord, let the hunger set me free

To need You more,

To want You more,

To fear You more,

To love You more.

Lord, let me hunger.
