Dear Jeremy, I have been reading your website and feel led to reach out to you. I am an oncolgy RN who works in Fargo and have been incredibly touched by your website. My family originates from Roseau and I got your website address from your article in the Roseau Times. I just wanted to say that I applaud the way you have not let your faith falter with this minor oncology setback. I understand, of course, that there are those difficult moments, but above all your faith seems to only have grown stronger and people are taking note. As an oncology nurse, I just wanted to applaud your statements about being a witness even to the nurses, doctors, and social workers that are surrounding you every day. I have had experiences too of hospital workers believing that their patient's faith was giving them delusional hope. I wanted you to know that even though it may not always seem like it, the medical staff do take notice of how as a christian, you respond differently to the obstacles that you encounter every day. I am sure that your faith has already been the topic of many conversations in the breakroom. Only God knows the type of seeds that have been planted in their hearts because of your witness, and where those seeds will lead them. As a nurse, I thrive on patients like you because I believe the biggest factor lacking in the medical profession is faith in the healing power of God. I actually did my nursing practicum at Regions hospital on 8E and even though I wish that you weren't ill and pray for a speedy recovery, I am thankful that you are there to witness to my dear friends (even if it is in a very subtle way since I understand the fatigue!). Take heart dear brother in Christ, there are many praying for you and always remember that only good things are in store because Christ has overcome the world. Sincerely, An impressed oncology RN.
